Delete account

Send an email to privacy@taxibuddy.be with the subject "Delete account". Please include:

• Your first and last name as registered in TaxiBuddy.
• The email address you use to sign in.
• The name of the taxi business your account is linked to.
• Your role: driver or administrator.

Send the email from the address linked to your TaxiBuddy account if possible. This lets us verify the request originates from you more quickly.

We fully delete the following data once we have verified your request:

• Your personal profile data (name, phone number, language preference).
• Your sign-in record with our identity provider Auth0.
• Any driver's licence or taxi-pass number.
• Crash and monitoring logs linked to your account.

Some data we are required by law to keep. We anonymise it so it can no longer be linked to you personally:

• Ride and booking data (anonymised, 7 years — accounting law).
• Working-time and shift data (anonymised, 5 years — social security law).
• Invoices between TaxiBuddy and your taxi business (10 years — VAT law).
• Audit logs of status changes (10 years — limitation period).

Full retention periods are listed in our privacy notice for the app.

We acknowledge your request within 72 hours with a receipt email.

We then verify your identity. This takes up to 7 days.

Finally we perform the deletion and send a confirmation email. The full procedure takes no longer than 30 days, in line with GDPR Article 12.
