It depends on your type of taxi. As a street taxi you agree the price in advance, so a smartphone with a compliant app is enough for ride registration to Chiron. As a rank taxi you pick up customers at a taxi stand and charge by the meter, so you need a taximeter with an on-board computer. Below we explain the difference and who needs what.

Both can be compliant, depending on your type of taxi. Beyond that, the difference is cost, flexibility and maintenance.
Every paid ride within your permit is registered with the correct data.
Ride data goes to Chiron in real time in principle, not in a later batch.
Your equipment meets the conditions in the Implementing Order of 9 June 2023.
The customer gets a proper transport receipt with the ride details and the fare.
